i need to use linked lists in my next assignment but am finding it hard declaring one

how do i declare a linked list that wont bring errors in my C code

Please post a code excerpt and the errors you're getting and we'll try to help you.

What are your precise requirements:
  • Does it have to be a singly or doubly linked list; or can you choose which you want?
  • What information (besides link pointers) is to be carried in each node?
  • Do you have to keep the list sorted? If so, what is the key field?
  • What list operations do you have to support (add_node; remove_node; etc)?
