scan variable from user .

if i want to scan 2 variable from user in the same time , how to do it ?
like this :

if the user insert : " 1 2 ENTER "
will get X=1 and Y=2 .

Just scan the variables. Since the scan stops on the first whitespace character, not does not matter that:

1) both numbers are on the same line
2) each number on its own line
3) you use two scans each for one variable
4) you use one scan for both variables
