Difference between fgetc() and getc() function

The getc() is a macro while fgetc() is a function in the stdio.h library.Please tell me what is macro and explain the sentence.

Macro is the one which will be expanded during the preprocessing and the function body will be embedded in the calling part.

The short answer is that it is a macro if it starts with #define. If it doesn't, then it's something else.
