Inline functions

Hi all,

Inline functions are depends on the compiler. It can ignore it sometimes. I just wants to know in which conditions it will ignore? Is it vary depends on the compiler we are using? I searched a lot for the document which can answer this question. But didn't get. Can you please help me out.
