void main()
{
int num,f;
clrscr();
printf("\nEnter a number: ");
scanf("%d",&num);
f=fact(num);
printf("\nFactorial of %d is: %d",num,f);
getch();
}
int fact(int n)
{
if(n==1)
return 1;

What do you want to do with those pointer variables? btw, it's 'int main()' not 'void main()'.

kind regards,

Jos

Here is a pointer Variable implementation of your app:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. int MyRecursiveFunction(int n);
  2.
  3. int (*fact)(int) = MyRecursiveFunction;
  4.
  5. void main()
  6. {
  7. int num,f;
  8. clrscr();
  9. printf("\nEnter a number: ");
  10. scanf("%d",&num);
  11. f=fact(num);
  12. printf("\nFactorial of %d is: %d",num,f);
  13. getch();
  14. }
  15. int MyRecursiveFunction(int n)
  16. {
  17. if(n==1)
  18. return 1;
  19. else
  20. return(n*fact(n-1));
