If you hadn't posted here, you wouldn't have to be sorry.

Your question has nothing to do with C, and any advice you do get here
is likely to be useless (or worse). Find a more appropriate forum for
your question.

You can research the fundamentals of the companies at (free) services
such as investing.businessweek.com .

The appropriate stock symbols appear to be:

HON -- Honeywell International
HONE.BO -- Honeywell Automation, Bombay Stock Exchange
TCS.BO -- Tatas Consultancy Services, Bombay Stock Exchange
You can examine figures such as the market capitalization and
look at the stock price trends, to get a feeling for the likelyhood
that your job would disappear suddenly with market fluctuations.

And you can encourage more people to post blatantly off-topic

Please don't.

Surely you had interviews at these companies? What judgment did you form
of the atmosphere there, whether you think you'd fit in well with the
setup, what sort of work you'll be doing, etc.?

In my experience, the name of the company really doesn't count for very
much compared to working conditions, pay, how smart the other
programmers are, and most importantly how much freedom you get to do
interesting stuff.

If you don't want to answer the questions, then don't answer them - kill
the thread and forget about it. Why do you feel the need to be a
busybody and tell other people what they should and shouldn't do?

I didn't answer (or attempt to answer) the question: I redirected
to other resources.

Well, yes and no; you also emphasized the financial health of the
companies, something the OP didn't ask about. But I see your point.

What's really pathetic - and I do mean pathetic, to the point of being
sad - really sadly concerned for their tiny little lives - is the fact
that he (KT) criticized this "yet another stupid job search spam/scam"
on the basis of being OT (the favored whipping boy) rather than, as it
should have been criticized, as "yet another stupid job search spam/scam".

OT is such a religious thing. It really has no basis in the real world.

int main ()
Better: int main(void)
{
if (IsSmart(user))
Not a standard function, no prototype in scope
undefined variable 'user' -Syntax error
{
Google("Honeywell");
Google("Tata Consultancy Services");
Not a Standard function, no prototype on scope
}
else
{
PissOffGroup("comp.lang.c");
PissOffGroup("rec.scuba-diving");
PissOffGroup("talk.abortion");
not a Standard function, no prototype in scope
}
return 73;
Not a portable return value. Use 0, EXIT_SUCCESS or EXIT_FAILURE (from
stdlib.h)
}
SCNR 8-)

#include "missing_stuff.h"
You may now buy the corresponding library, "lib_missing_stuff.a",
for $9999.95. I take money orders. >;->
