Thread in next C++ standard

I have read some times ago that next release of C++ standard will
include multithreading.

Is it still true (for sure) or has it beeen dismissed ?

Thank you,
Evolito.

In this wording it is true.

However there has been a long debate about whether threading is
included in form of yet another library or as a genuine language
extension.

In this wording it is true.

However there has been a long debate about whether threading is
included in form of yet another library or as a genuine language
extension.
Which, regardless of what slim technical merit that discussion has,
bears no relation whatsoever to the question that was asked. One person
insisting on a particular view of what threading should be, and
misquoting others to pretend that they don't know what they're talking
about, does not constitute a meaningful debate.

To the original poster: ignore this troll.

Yes, it's true.
What Pete means, of course, is that yes, it is still true that
threading will be part of the next version of the C++ standard.
