Need help for Access violation (solved!)

35
Hi all,

I encounter a 'Access violation writing location 0x00e1d2e4' when executing my code. It worked fine when the size was smaller. The following is the code. Any help will be appreicated!!

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1.         int *distance = (int*)malloc(sizeof(int)*size);
  2.         memset(distance,0,size*sizeof(int));
  3.         int *trace = (int*)malloc(sizeof(int)*size);
  4.         memset(trace,0,size*sizeof(int));
  5.
  6.         for(i=0;i<targetSize;i++){
  7.            *(distance+i)=0;
  8.            *(trace+i)=STOP;
  9.         }
  10.         for(i=1;i<querySize;i++){
  11.            *(distance+i*querySize)=0;
  12.            //The program breaks here.
  13.            *(trace+i*querySize)=STOP;
  14.         }

Keep in mind that if size=1, then there is 1 element. That means trace+i is outside the allocation.
