Using output of one exe in other exe

Hi,
I have two programs (Exe)'s. One exe will take two arguments and it will produce some output.
Whatever the output produced by first one should be used in second one.

One condition these two programs will be executed independently.

Please tell me how to achieve this.

I can think of two ways right off the top of my head - you could store the results of the first in a file, and have the second look for that file, or you could use command line redirection.
