Use of Win32 Dll

Hi All,
I have to create a Win32 Dll in such a way that out of all the functions only few will be exposed by Dll user. Like if a dll has 4 functions only 2 will be exposed by user or if a dll has 2 classes user can only expose one class. I have to prevent user for exposing functions or classes which I dont want to show to user.

If you are using Microsoft cl compiler then you can add a def file to the project which says about the functions exposed outside the dll.
Search in the neat for more information about the def file

Be aware that a DLL is a C structure. That means no function overloading, no exporting of member functions, etc.

If you have C++ in your DLL then you must write a wrapper function tagged as extern "C" that calls the C++ code. You export the wrapper in a DEF file.

If you don't do this, the function names in the code in the DLL will be mangled and when you try to use GetProcAddress() on the unmangled name, you will never locate your function.
