Uh, yes, you would have to use the win32 API if you are on Windows. Is there a problem with that?

hi,
Thnx for the reply. The problem is that my application is windows console application and I cannot use win32 API's in that environment. Is there any console API's to fetch the hostname based on the IP?

Thnx in Advance,
Xoinki

Uh...what? Where did you get that idea from? Notice the keywords "windows" and "application". Just because you have a console open doesn't mean you can't use the windows API. You can do everything: create windows and dialogs, and use all the Windows API functions. Of course, you'll also have that console open, but so what?
