random number generation

hi,

i m pretty new to C .i m writing a code to generate random numbers,i mean i want to generate 5 different random numbers.i.e random number should not b repeated .once generated.i used random() function but it repeats the number.

please help me out!

Whata are you using the random numbers for? creating a temporary files or something?
