Visual Studio question!

Hello,

I have a programming assignment due for my programming class.
Basically, I have to code the program in visual studio..then I have
to paste the code and the output into microsoft word(2007). Well my
friend told me that you can copy and paste the "outputbox" into
Word. When i say "output box"..i mean the display window that pops
up when you run the program.

Well, when I try to copy the output dialog box..the copy function is
greyed out. The only thing it will let me do is select all, then
copy the words..thats not what I want to do though..I want to
copy/insert the entire box into word.

If you can help me with this..I would really appreciate it!

Thanks again,

Nathan

First, questions regarding Visual Studio or some other implementation
are off-topic in this group, in here we only discuss the C++ language
itself and how you can use it (or not). For future questions regarding
Visual Studio use a group discussing Visual Studio such as one of the
microsoft.public.vstudio.* groups or microsoft.public.vc.ide_general.

Regarding copying from the command windows (that is the name of the
window the output is written to) I am afraid that you have few options.
The easiest way is probably to use Select All and then copy that, or you
can use the Mark option. Another option is to click Star->Run and enter
"cmd" and then navigate to the folder where your application is and
redirect its output to a text file. If your application is called
Foo.exe then use "Foo.exe output.txt" to run the program and dump the
output into the file output.txt.
