How to swap elements in a singly linked list?

As you walk the list you need to keep the address of the previous node handy.

You will need it to do the swap.

This assumes that the two nodes are adjacent to each other.

If the two nodes to be swapped could be anywhere within the list, you have a slightly more difficult problem.
