hai,
i want a hashing algorithm or code in C which produces an 8-bit index as the output for any number of input bits.plz send it urgently

So you want me to take time off my job and write your has program for you? That would be extremely rude. I'm sure you're just stuck on a certain point and need help getting past that point. What do you need help with?

Just use the first eight (or less) bits from the input stream of bits for the 8 bit
hash value; it's a good as any. Why is this urgent?
