C++ functioning loop until input

Hey all. New to the forum.

Is there a way to make a loop continue until an input is entered?

i've tried the -

if (cin.peek() == '\n')
{}

- but it stays there til an input is added, just like a regular cin >> <variable>

You probably want to look into interrupts. With an interrupt handler, you can handle the input when it comes instead of sitting idle waiting for a response.

cin will always wait for input. It's built-in. Pressing the enter key is just a way of entering characters. Input is not considered completed until a CRTL+Z is encountered.

You can enter as many characters as you wish but not until you press enter does the >> operator process any characters. Ditto for cin.get(), peek(), etc.
