Accessing specific address

Hi, I need to monitor a particular address location inside a C++ Programme (say 83ede). How can I do that by assigning a pointer to that specific address?
Thanks.

You could use a good ol' C cast:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. unsigned char * address= (unsigned char*)0x83edeL;
  2.
... but I sincerely doubt if you can solve your problem with it.

kind regards,

Jos

Once you have that pointer, do the monitoring on a separate thread to avoid spattering the monitor code throughout your application code.
