What is difference between Macro and Template?
That isn't a very full question but assuming you mean

What's the difference between a function like macro and a template function then
  • A template function does type checking, a function like macro doesn't
  • A function like macro can introduce side effects because it is just a text substitution and parameters may be evaluated more than once. A template function doesn't have side effects.

There may be other things to add to this list.
