Timer Break

is there a way to do somthing such as

cout<<"1";
(wait one second)
cout<<"2";
(wait two seconds)
cout<<"4";

obviosly, my question is the "wait one second/two seconds" things

If you are using Windows, you can call Sleep(number of milliseconds).
