Help on map of vectors

map<const char *, vector<someType> > myVectors;
..
myVectors["hello"].push_back(something); //to access a vector called "hello"

Hi

Sorry for the ignorance, I'm new to c++. Is there a way to call the vector["hello"] from a cin?

for example use cin to read a string(num) and call the cout<<vector[num].

Thanks

You can but realize the following
1.) Vector uses unsigned int for index so v["hello"] won't work.
2.) Using v.at(i) is better than using v[i] because v[i] can overrun the length of the vector whereas v.at(i) throws an exception if the size is overrun.
