segmentation fault : kindly help

Hi,

I am running the image file of my project, it is giving following segmentation fault:
ERROR----- >

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
[Switching to Thread 33572592 (LWP 2589)]
0x004240cb in strlen () from /lib/i686/nosegneg/libc.so.6

but this is a platorm file and hence flawless.

Can you please tell me the reason of the fault or how should I proceed to catch it.

Thanks & Regards,
Sharad

This is a really large number. I expect you have an uninitialized pointer at fault.

Without any code, I can only guess.
