What's the difference between use and #include?

101 100+
Might sound like a newbie question, but I'm not sure exactly why there's two different things needed.

I already know what they do, but I want to know exactly what the difference is and how they work.

Thanks.

#include is a preprocessor directive. The preprocessor locates the file and pastes a copy right where the #include is.

It is this expanded file that is actually sent to the compiler.

use is not in C++. Do you mean using??

using is a C++ keyword that means that you are using member (or members) of a namespace. Like using std::cout.
