P: 100
Hi,
I have been using the Microsoft Visual studio c++ 6.0 since 2 months with no problem.
Now suddenly i am facing one problem with RC.exe.I have written a MFC code which when i Build says...........

"RC : fatal error RC1109 : error creating Debug/menu.res
Error executing rc.exe."

Even when i right click on the .rc file and say "Compile Resource files" it gives the same problem.

Can anyone help???

THanks

Some search in MSDN shows that this error is due to non creation of .res file. One of the possible reason is drive being read only. Check whether directory Debug is writable or read only.
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms882103.aspx
gives details about all resource related errors.

Are you on a network?

If you are, and if your project is on a network drive, then the thread used to build the project may not have the correct security to execute a write on a network drive.
