Do you have "Programming Windows with MFC" by Jeff Prosise?

Basically, you don't do anything with the resourse. However, if your MFC code needs the icon it will get it from the Resources. Your compiled program must have all the resources as part of the object file. You put resources in your project so the build can put them in your executable.
