1- what does the "#pragma comment(lib,"OpenMayaUi.lib)" mean???
2- why do i need a header file?? other than the C++ in my project? what does it exactly do? how does the compiler deal with them? and how do they interact with the C++ code?

I would start with a book. Try "C++ Primer Plus" by Stephen Prata.

A C++ textboook will explain why header files are important and how to use them. In Prata's book that start's on page 393.

When to use public and private is so general that's is not possible to answer that question. First you need to understand the concept of encapsulation and why that is important.

Use your docs for the #pragma. Put your mouse on the word and press F1.

Also, consider taking a C++ class at your local college.
