The maximum size possible for CComBstr is (2e31)-1, i.e. 4294967295, i.e maximum of unsigned int,. But this much characters cannot be loaded at a time due the availability of sys resources. So mostly size defer from one system to another. And practically it will be mostly in MBs, depending on the memory and other resources available.
