Perhaps the command your trying to issue with the system() command is getting stuck or is waiting for some input. What are you trying to do with your call to system() - what are you providing as input to the function?

The validitiy of the argument to the system() command is not part of the compiler's job. Supplying an argument that's invalid produces indererminate results.

Is there a tcc program on your system??
