Me too!
I recommend stayomg away from titles like "C++ for Dummies" or books that promise to teach you everything in twenty-four hours / one week / whatever. They barely skim the surface, only telling you the "how" of using the language, but not "why" the language works that way.
If you are new to programming, look for a book (like the one mentioned above) with lots of exercises at the end of each chapter. You'll learn more by doing than by reading.

Thanks frens.
Actually I am not new to programming.
I am pretty much familier with c++.
But I am new to VC++. And as you said,
I am also intrested more in why than what.
I'll surely try the book you suggested.
Hope its comprehensive enough for a begiginner.
Thank you once again.
