gcc: extraction of function prototypes

hi,

is there any option of gcc in order to extract the function prototypes
of the functions written in a file (.c or .c++) ?

i would appreciate very much any comment or help

OT here; I was just about to suggest you try gnu.gcc.help, but you beat
me to it :)
