serialize function

Hi.
Im confused about the serialize function. I am doing a MDI application and I want to have a file open dialog which will read data from a binary file. I do not need to save any file. So must I use the if(ar.IsStoring())... else? How do I go about doin this?
Thanks.

As far as I know, IsStoring is used to find if a file is available for storuing. It has a complementary function IsLoading to see whether it is available for Reading.

In the case that you are only reading, I see little use for IsStoring....use IsLoading for an errorcheck instead.
