input data from EXCEL to C++

I have a program in C++. It needs to input data from an EXCEL worksheet. How to input data stored in EXCEL into C++????

General consensus of opinion is save you Excel spread sheet as a comma separated value file(which is text) and then read the data into your program from that.

Do u mean i should store the EXCEL file as a txt file?????? Cannot we input data from the EXCEL file directly witout converting it to txt o another file format???

Only if you know the file format for an Excel file and it isn't something Microsoft give away for free.

You can do this by using addins for excel. This will allow you to register callbacks in excel that can be called from VBA script in your spreadsheets
