directory listing with C++

Hi,

I would like to read the content of a directory from a C++ program. Is it
possible to do this without a OS-specific library ?

You may find the Boost Filesystem Library [1] suitable.

No.

For a portable solution, you might take a look at

http://www.boost.org/libs/filesystem/doc/index.htm
