Creating clickable image control

I am trying to create a clickable image for use within an MFC VC++
application. The requirement is for the control to generate messages
on click or double click etc for different areas of the image in the
same way that an imagemap is used within HTML.

I have searched for something along these lines but to no avail. I
really don't want to reinvent the wheel, so has anyone any advice
please? Or is it possible to use HTML imagemaps within an application
for such a purpose?

Thanks,

John
