Metaphone is driving me crazy !!

Please help, this problem is driving me crazy !!

I am using metaphone to create phonetic keys. When i run the module
stand-a-lone it works fine.

I'm trying to create a runner for informix which includes the function
in order to allow me to call it from within a 4gl program. When i do
this i get differences in the key that is produced?????

This only happens when metahpone translates an x in a name. The stand
alone produces KKS for the name cox. But the informix runner version
produces "KK" for the same name???

I think it may have something to do with the locale but im not sure
how to check this....

Help !!!

What drives us crazy, here in comp.lang.c, are clueless and/or rude
people who post off-topic questions. I have no idea what "Metaphone"
is, but I know for a fact that it is not defined by or part of the
standard C language, so it is 100% off-topic here.
