buildng a dll using g++

Hi,

I am trying to build a dll from a .cpp file and a .lib import library. I am able to do this with visual studio but I do not know how to do this using command line in cygwin. Does anyone have an idea. I really appreciate this.

Thanks,
Leyla

You will have to do to several things:

1) load the dll.
2) call an API function to get the function address from the dll
3) call the function using the address
4) unload the dll when finished with it.

Be sure none of the functions in the dll have gone through the C++ mangler. A dll is a C thing and does not support function polymorphism.

For Windows, the calls are:

LoadLibrary
GetProcAddress
FreeLibrary
