Connecting to SQL server from c++

Hi,
I have a Windows 2003 server machine on which SQL server 2005 is installed and have a Windows xp as my dev machine on which Visual studio 2005 is installed.
I am trying to connect to SQL server using C++ (Using Visual Studio 2005). Can anyone please let me the procedure by giving a small typical example?

As I'm sure you've seen our Posting Guidelines, what have you tried on this? Have you googled 'c++ sql odbc'? I know that's one way to go about it... You also don't mention what type of SQL server you're trying to connect to.
