How To Connect To Access Database Using C API's?

I am trying to connect to the Access database for querying, inserting and updating the data using 'C' API's.

Here are the Posting Guidelines for this site. Nobody is going to give you code, however, we will help you if you tell us what you have tried and where it's not working.

I searched and found out that there are some ways to connect to access using c from ProC and ODBC but I don't have any idea how to start and where to start as I am not a C Programmer.

I am in need of the answer.

Thanks

Using a database in any code is a difficult matter, why would you pick a language you are not familiar with to do it in? You should first learn the basics of the C language before you move on to advanced topics like database connectivity.

A Google search of 'c programming odbc' returned: this.

(But RedSon has a good point - this will be frustrating and difficult without mastering some of the basics first)

Thanks For all your replies.

I know basics of c language but not as much as dedicated c programmers. The reason I choosed the C language to connect to access database is I am basically a Performance Analyst and as you all know that LoadRunner (Performance Testing Tool) uses C language. So that's why I am trying to get answers from professional C programmers like you guys. Please help me in this regards and post some code if somebody has out there.

Post a line you're having trouble with, and a question, and we will help, but nobody here is going to give you code.

This is information about Microsoft's ODBC
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...his_manual.asp

This should give you an idea of what you are in for.

Just a note, this site recommends that you read 23 books to help with your understanding of ODBC and C/C++. Let me say that again *twenty-three* books. You are asking us to write code for you in which we would need a vast amount of knowledge about your system, application, environment, network topography, and server, not to mention ODBC and 23 other books.

Sorry friend, you are on your own for this one. We can help with specific problems like "why isnt this line of code working" or "why do I get XYZ error when compiling" but a whole program, not possible.
