Searching files under c++, any ideas??

Well, as i said in the title, my aim is to search the hard drive for a given file, it could be anywhere, the program should be able to browse folders and find it, any ideas how to do this?

There are several algorithms for searching, take a look at this article and see which one will suite your needs.

Alternativly, don't recreate the wheel. Use a Unixish find programme. Google "man find" (without the quotes) for more info.

I'm assuming that you are running windows, so you can either go to http://www.cygwin.com or http://www.mingw.org to get a unix tool port. In MinGW, it is probably in the MSYS stuff.
