Okay, gcc manpage is good but you want better.

THE resource for gcc information is here:
http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/

Also, there's a great book called "GCC: complete reference"
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...9966?vi=glance

For ther manual downloads, just google for "gcc manual" and you'll find what
you need.

In addition to standard programming texts for C, I'd also recommend
"Using C on the UNIX System" by David Curry, from O'Reilly books.
It contains a lot of UNIX-specific stuff (i.e. pipes, network
sockets, process management and so forth) that won't be covered in
a "standard" C programming text.
