I'm using Windows Xp

all i know is to get a text or xls file from dos.. but it just gives me the size, the file name.

I definitely don't know where that information is stored - I'm a *NIX person myself. Perhaps a post in the Windows forum asking where that information was stored might help (though I'm guessing it's with the file information - this will most likely require the win32 API, which I am definitely not familiar with. And by not familiar with, I mean that I'm not even sure it actually exists. I'm also posting to bump up in the forum, so someone more knowledgeable than myself can show off).
