Sockets Programming

Is there something like sockets programming in Turbo C for dos? ...... If yes then please provide me some materials and introduction links on the subject...... through google search i only got sites related to unix and linux but not dos......
I m new to the subject so don't put any intermediate terminologies since they won't help me.......

for winsock for DOS have a look at

have a look at sun's socket tutorial
