problem with my graphics.h file

Dear all,
i am a beginner in c programming. i am trying my hand at simple graphics programs. On the linux platform the error message is that it cannot find the graphics.h file. And on the windows Turbo C platform it says that there is error in some lines of the graphics.h file. I tried een example programs also and with no succes. What could be the problem ? Where is the .bgi files in Fedora to give the proper path? do i need to load Turbo C again from somewhere else?

post the program you are using and the error message you are getting.

Note that it is very unlikly that a TurboC program written for graphics.h (assuming that is what you are trying to do) would run using gcc on Fedora without modification.

dear horace,
thanks for the reply. I am not using turbo C on fedora. It is just that i am trying the graphics programs on both the platforms as i am dying to see the output and am dissapointed with the errors on both. On fedora i do the gcc compiling and the message is that it cannot find the graphics.h file. While using turboC , i can see the graphics .h file is there but the error messages are with respect to the graphics.h file and not my program. maybe the file has got corrupted ?

Hello,
The Turbo C supports some features not provided by ANSI-C like graphics(graphics.h), conio.h, etc. gcc is the one of the most ANSI compliant compiler. It does not have graphics.h file. So, your graphics program wont run on Linux m/c.
