STL iterator across a DLL boundary

Hi

I am trying to tear apart some code that used to live in the same executable into dll's. A lot of this code uses STL types. What is the correct way to access an STL iterator. At present it just creates an iterator like so.

PreCandidateCollection::const_iterator it;

The PreCandidateCollection now lives in a dll and therefore I get an unresolved reference. My C++ isn't strong enough to figure how to pass this through a the DLL interface.

Thanks
Bob
