A recent poll asked if programming standards are used by development
organisations... and if they are controlled.
None: 20%
Yes, but without control: 49%
Yes, with control: 31%

A majority of the participating organisations have coding standards...
and a majority does not control them ;o) What is the situation at your
location? Does this lack of control really hurt?
Many usenet groups have posting and topic standards. In this group we
try to control that standard. Your post has absolutely nothing at all
to do with the C programming language, as coding standards can, and
most likely should, exist for any programming language.
This question belongs on groups like news:comp.programming and
news:comp.software-eng. It does not belong here.
