Cygwin environment

I have in association with the non-profit organisation World Heritage been trying to compile an opensource project under the CygWin environment. The project utilizes a c++ and java integration development scheme.

I have tried for some time now, to set up the CygWin environment so that I could compile the sourcecode, but to no avail. (Its meant to run on windows)

I was hopeing that there would be a developer with CygWin experience, that would help compile the project. Ofcource if you can compile it you would be invited to follow the project, also if it goes comercial.

I have included som links to the source code, note that any links to demo versions are dead.

(Main page)
http://www.ifp.uiuc.edu/grouper/

(One of the developers pages)
http://www.ifp.uiuc.edu/~nakazato/

Both links gives access to the source-code, so if there is any developer with an idea of how to compile and if you should succeed in compiling it I would be very gratefull, and redirect you to th WH organisation.

Regards Michael

Are you unable to compile it, or unable to configure Cygwin? And what is the program you are trying to compile written in, Java or C++?

A) Well I am unable to setup the CygWin environment to fit the described instructions on the the homepage of the imagegrouper.

B) The project is written i 2 languages. Java and C++. It is no problem to compile the java using jsdk, but in order for us to get a server up and running, we must compile the c++ code that was written for the project. (Grouper.dll)

I have been looking into porting it to visualstudio, but with little luck

What part of the Cygwin install/configuration is not working? Are you getting an error message?
