Well, when u try to create instance for derived class then constructor for base class has to be called first.but if virtual constructor is allowed then u will be able to construct derived class constructor first which is not acceptable.
Second reason what i think is that virtual functions are one which can be overridden ,but as consructors are not inherited so they cannot be overridden .
