wanted: stream wrapper

I am looking for examples of C++ streams decorators.
Something similar to, say, how a CheckedInputStream
or ZipInputStream builds on an InputStream in java.
Specifically I'd like to add simple obfuscation (no need
for strong encryption) and checksum to discourage
(and detect) tampering with data files.

Thanks for any info,

Check Boost::iostreams.
openssl migth be an overkill for your purpose but still
a fine and complete solution.
