Common bitmap for win2k and win xp

Hai all,

i create one bitmap to place which is later palaced into a dialog box.
now the problem is if i create a bitmap for xp it does not show the
correct color in windows 2000. if i create a bitmap for windows 2000 it
does not show the correct color(for example gray) in xp. if anyone
knows then pls help me.
