I also need a function to search a string in a file (how many times the string occurs).

I need the code is a bad line. I need help is better. You'd then have to supply the codes that you have that you need help with.

well i can help you just give some xplzination about ur programe or xample and what do u mean about deblank do u want to remove a printed word during execution reply i will check tomorrow

DEBLANK is a C++ program that makes a copy of a text file in which all blank lines have been removed.

I don't think that is what you want to do if you only want to remove spaces.

Please like r035198x said make some kind of attempt at this and post what you come up with, then we'll take a look and steer you in the right direction.
