__NAKED__ nonstandard C++ directive

Hello,

While going through some code I ran into a compiler directive
called __NAKED__ placed at the beginning of a class function
definition. Inside the function there are just functions of the form:

asm("assembly instructions");

where the contents of the string are assembly instructions.

Has anyone seen this directive before?

Which compilers support this construct?

Thanks,

JG

__NAKED__ is non-standard and therefore compiler-specific.

There is at least one germane hit on google for <__naked__>
